We should have listened to T. Gabby. That you should only feed caterpillars the kind of leaf that the caterpillar was feeding on. We did at first giving Dona almost the whole bunch of kangkong in which we found her. After running out of kangkong, Yaya Dora gave Dona some leaves from the ipil-ipil tree they pass on their way to church. Dona didn't like it and after just a week with us, she died... The kids look for Dona every now and then. But they understood that Dona is dead and that she's "no more". I felt sad coming home to learn Dona was dead. For about a week, that was the first thing we'd check upon entering the door.
